Privacy policy

What this website collects

Very little. This site has no contact forms, no newsletter signup, no accounts, and no shopping cart. We do not set cookies and we do not use tracking or advertising technology of any kind.

If you email us or call us using the details on the Contact page, we receive whatever you choose to send. That is a normal email or phone call, not something collected by this website.

Donations

Donations are handled entirely by PayPal or Venmo. When you click Donate you leave this site. We never see, handle, or store your card or bank details.

PayPal shares with us the information a donor chooses to provide, such as name, email address and the amount given. We use it to thank you and to keep the Foundation's records. Dr. Bentley sends each donor a letter at the end of the year showing the total donated.

We do not sell, rent, or trade donor information with anyone, ever.

Travel Award applications

Travel Award applications are collected through an external Microsoft Forms link, not through this website. What you submit is used only to assess your application. Microsoft's own privacy terms apply to that form.

Visitor counts

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are visited and how often. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and cannot identify you. What we see is aggregate: how many people visited the Donate page this month, not who they were.

Server records

This site is hosted by Vercel. Like nearly all web hosts, their servers keep short-term technical logs of requests, which can include IP address, browser type and the page requested. These are used to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Visitors outside the United States

The Foundation is based in Colorado, USA, and the site is hosted in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, any information you choose to send us is handled in the US.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect ever changes — for example if we add a signup form — we will update this page and change the date above.
